The boys (combined age on the wrong side of eighty) have played together for years in a variety of bands. With Gavin Van Eede they make Psycho Wombat, who have been making a garagey noise since the 1980s. David filled in sometimes for the Fizzleheads when Mark Jenkinson couldn't make it. David can be currently seen falling off the drumstool with the Ju Ju Boys. If you wanted to catch James live you'd hang around places like the Kongwak market or the Meeniyin pub.

In fact, The Zombie Drivers have had only one public performance, busking on Commercial St Korumburra during the first Buskers' Festival.
